Session Details
Tutors will work in small groups of 1-4 students 1 time per week for 1 hour each, every week via Google Meets. It will be from September 8th - December 21th (15 weeks). Class resources and lesson plans are provided. You may teach more than one class.
Aim
This Fall session is focused on helping students succeed in their classes. We assist them with staying on pace with their homework and classwork and occasionally teaching new content. Overall, developing transferable skills that will benefit them in the academic school year teaching. Tutors will be working with a small group of 1-2 students to reinforce their learning in the respective subject, building up the skills to excel throughout the Fall and beyond.
Expections
All tutors must attend a virtual mandatory training session before starting tutoring. During the semester, tutors are expected to attend all classes in a timely manner and have proper communication with parents if they are unable to attend. In addition, tutors will be required to complete weekly reflections and update class attendance, which will be discussed during the training.
