Session Details
The Summer Session runs from June 15th through August 18th as a 9-week program. Students may participate in either a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule with three 1-hour classes per week (27 total classes) or a flexible once-per-week option. Sessions are offered between 9:00 A.M.–12:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M.–9:00 P.M. to accommodate both tutor and student schedules.
Aim
This Summer session is focused on helping students rebuild and strengthen their academic foundations while preparing for future success. We work with students to review key concepts from the previous school year, reinforce areas where they may need additional support, and build confidence in their learning abilities. Overall, developing transferable skills that will benefit them throughout the upcoming academic year. Tutors will be working with small groups of up to 4 to provide personalized support and reinforce learning in their respective subjects, building up the skills needed to excel throughout the summer and beyond.
Expections
All tutors must attend a virtual mandatory training session before starting tutoring. During the semester, tutors are expected to attend all classes in a timely manner and have proper communication with parents if they are unable to attend. In addition, tutors will be required to complete weekly reflections and update class attendance, which will be discussed during the training.

"Our tutor responds quick to any questions I as a parent may have. She is assertive and has great power point slides that provide sample math questions which make it fun and help my child feel engaged. Our tutor goes above and beyond and I'm happy that we are aligned on the same goals for my student!"
