Virtual Tutoring SF

About Us

  • Our Goal

Our mission is to help students grades 3-8 stay academically engaged in Math and English by providing free online tutoring during this unprecedented pandemic.

As students who witnessed the loss of learning in online classes due to the pandemic, we recognized the need to close the learning gap. Online learning in a class setting has its challenges as teachers reduce their curriculums and it becomes hard to gauge students’ understanding. Our solution was to help students stay academically engaged through small tutoring sessions. As schools are forced to continue online in the fall, we decided to extend our summer program for the remainder of the year.

  • About our Tutors

Our tutors consist of hard working high school students from various schools in San Francisco.

    Ethan Kwong:

Hi! I’m Ethan, a rising senior at Urban. I’ve always liked math, and I’m glad to share my passion with others. In my free time, I like to play piano and violin. I also enjoy (well used to at least) playing basketball with my friends.

    Evan Kwong:

My name is Evan and I am a freshman at Urban. In a normal circumstance, my summer would be filled with basketball tournaments and camping trips. I participated in multiple basketball teams and ran track for 3 years in middle school. Every night, I enjoy playing Minecraft with my friends and cousins.

    Hayden Gong:

Hi, my name is Hayden and I am a freshman at The Bay School. I enjoy playing basketball and video games. A fun fact about me is that I started my own business on eBay when I was 12 years old.
